SwimSafer Certificate Timeline & Where to Get It (CAMS Guide)

With the transition to CAMS, many candidates and parents are unsure where to retrieve their SwimSafer certificates.

The process is actually straightforward,

but there are a few important steps and deadlines that you must not miss.

1. SwimSafer Timeline (Step-by-Step)

Day 0 – Assessment Day

• Candidate completes the practical assessment

Within 48 Hours

• Practical results are submitted into CAMS by the assessment centre

Within 7 Days (VERY IMPORTANT)

• Candidate must complete the online theory quiz

• The quiz has a 7-day expiry from the practical assessment date

• If not completed in time:

  • Online quiz expires

  • A $5 fee is required to extend the validity

After Both Are Completed

• Once:

  • Practical = Passed

  • Online Quiz = Completed & Passed

The certificate will be generated in CAMS

2. Where to Get Your Certificate

All new SwimSafer certificates are now stored in:

CAMS (Centralised Assessment Management System)

You can:

• Login to your account

• Navigate to your records

• Download the certificate directly

3. What About Past Certificates?

At the moment:

• Past certificates are NOT yet reflected in CAMS

They will be migrated in at a later stage.

If you are unable to access your records:

• You may contact ActiveSG SwimSafer for assistance

4. Printed Certificates (For Our Candidates)

If you registered under us and selected printed certificate:

Please to send us your certificate at [email protected]

We will:

• Print the certificate

• Mail it to you

Estimated timeline: ~1 month

5. Common Issues (FAQ)

“I can’t find my certificate in CAMS”

• Check if:

  • You completed the online quiz within 7 days

  • Results have been processed

“I missed the online quiz deadline”

• Your access has expired

• A $5 fee is required to extend and complete the quiz

“I passed practical but no certificate”

• Certificate is only issued when both components are completed:

  • Practical

  • Online Quiz

“I cannot find my past certificate”

• Older records are not in CAMS yet

• Retrieve from file.gov.sg

• Or contact ActiveSG for support

“I don’t have login details”

• Check your email (including spam folder)

• Your account is usually created during registration

6. Final Note

The shift to CAMS is part of building a more structured and centralised system.

However, the online quiz deadline is the key step that many miss.

If you remember one thing:

Complete your online quiz within 7 days after practical assessment.

Everything else will fall into place.
